  • Al-Mahram International Journal

    Al-Mahram International Journal is a bi-annual International Journal of the Centre for Trans-Saharan Studies, University of Maiduguri. It publishes empirical studies and research works on cultural, economic, education, historical, languages and linguistics, political and religious issues relating to the Saharan region.  The Journal invites well-researched and scholarly papers on all aspects of the Saharan region.  Papers may be submitted in either English or Arabic.

  • Annals of Borno

    This is a multi-disciplinary regional journal of research and documentation in the Human, Natural, Social and Applied Sciences, published by the University of Maiduguri Press (Publishing House). It mainly carries both synchronic and diachronic studies on Northeastern Nigeria, comprising Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe States and on the Chad Basin – the point of contact between Nigeria and her neighbouring countries of Cameroun, Niger and Chad.

  • Liwuram - Journal for the Humanities

    Liwuram, Journal of the Humanities is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the faculty of arts, University of Maiduguri. It publishes research works in the cultural arts, history, religion, literature, language philosophy and other fields of human endeavour. Besides English, the journal publishes papers in French, Hausa, Kanuri and Fulfulde. 

  • Maiduguri Journal of Educational Studies (MAJES)

    Maiduguri Journal of Educational Studies (MAJES) is the publication of the then Department of Education, University of Maiduguri.  It was created in 1997 with volume one and had enjoyed a stead yearly publication until it almost went into extinction for almost after the publication of volume 7 from 2017.  It was resuscitated in 2015. 

  • Media & Communication Currents

    Media and Communication Currents is a journal devoted to intellectual thinking, based on historical, epistemological, methodological, theoretical and technical/policy discourses and expositions on any aspect of media and communication. Therefore, research and discussions that help to understand better, or reconceptualise the understanding of media or communication, popular culture and cinema, public relations, and advertising studies, social communication, new media, language uses in the media, communication and cultural policies, social and national identities, gender studies, sports and leisure, tourism and heritage, among other related issues and other social contexts are its area of interests. Given the link between history, epistemology, methodology, theory, and research, we are open to submissions of papers if it demonstrates a clear endorsement of Communication and media.

  • Unimaid Journal of Public Law

    The Unimaid Journal of Public Law is published bi-annually. Articles, case notes, statute reviews and book reviews are welcome for consideration by the Editorial Board for publication. It covers a wide range of legal subjects as well as tropical issues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds.

  • Research Journal of Science

    Research Journal of Science publishes original research paper/article, review paper/articles and short communications and reports in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, statistics, geology, environmental sciences, agriculture, medicine, engineering and technology.
